Dr. Balaji Jothishankar MD, MBA, has joined Gore Range Capital as Entrepreneur in Residence.
Dr. Jothishankar brings a wealth of expertise at the intersection of medicine and business, particularly in the fields of dermatology, medical aesthetics, healthcare services and biomedical devices. His multi-faceted skill set includes early-stage venture formation, growth strategy, operations, cost reduction and project management.
Dr. Jothishankar’s deep interest in the field of hair and alopecia sets him apart as a forward-thinking medical professional. His commitment to advancing solutions in this space aligns seamlessly with Gore Range Capital's focus on transformative innovations. During his time with Gore, he will research his strong interest in hair loss and alopecia, work with the founding teams of portfolio companies and further his experiences in the health equity space.

Jothishankar has completed his first two years of residency at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Program, where he takes care of patients, works with startups and is involved in equity efforts. His experience navigating the complexities of early-stage ventures positions him as a valuable asset in identifying and nurturing promising opportunities in the dermatology and medical aesthetics space.
Outside of the innovation space, he is founder and CEO of the non-profit organization, Populi Foundation, and is a champion for educational advancement for the underserved.
